We take safeguarding and child protection extremely seriously. Each school that we work with has their own safeguarding team along with their own policies and procedures which we adhere to.
Lettuce Grow also has policies and procedures that all staff and volunteers are made aware of and have training on annually.
We carry out detailed risk assessments for all our activities and venues, including schools, community gardens and private gardens. These are reviewed regularly to ensure the safety of all participants. Copies are available on request.
All sessions are led by a Paediatric First Aid trained practitioner, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing are supported throughout.
